When Doutta Galla set out to refresh several of their aged care dining rooms, they were looking for furniture that would combine contemporary style with long-term durability and easy maintenance.

A range of dining table sizes was selected to suit the different dining spaces across the facility, providing flexibility while maintaining a consistent, welcoming look. Some of these featured our aluminium frames, while some used the Euro Beech frames for larger sizes.  All used Tuross Oal Laminate Tops.

The standout choice was our Lenny Aluminium Dining Chair in an Oak timber-look finish. Aluminium dining furniture is an ideal solution for aged care environments, offering the warmth and appearance of timber without the risk of damaged chair legs from daily knocks, moisture or constant cleaning.

To complete the look, the chairs were upholstered in Materialised’s Hot Off the Press fabric with durable vinyl seat pads. This combination created a bright, inviting dining space while providing the practical benefits aged care providers need, including comfortable seating and easy-to-clean, wipeable surfaces that simplify everyday maintenance.

The result is a fresh, modern dining environment that is attractive, functional and designed to withstand the demands of everyday use in residential aged care.
