Napier Street Aged Care is a unique and beautifully restored 62-bed landmark bluestone building was originally a girls’ orphanage. It is run as a not-for-profit organisation, focusing on the needs of older residents of the Port Phillip community.

Wentworth Care Furniture was originally engaged to support the facility with a small supply of bedroom chairs during their refurbishment. In 2019, they requested our support again to replace more of their existing furniture.

Working closely with Marie Crossland, CEO, and her designer, we were able to provide furniture for their newly refurbished lounge, dining and activities areas.

We worked with them to choose laminate tables and Materialised fabrics that was customised whilst remaining on a tight budget. In the end the overall refurbishment was breathtaking and fit in with the unique landmark surroundings. The best part of this project was hearing how the once empty and overlooked rooms were now being utilised again by the residents after the complete transformation.

"Tamlyn has been a fantastic support to Napier Street Aged Care Services with our recent refurbishment. Assistance with a selection of dining and lounge seating, assisting with colour ranges to suit the environment, and supplying a top quality Australian made product. Our residents and visitors have loved the look and comfort of the new furniture " - Marie Crossland, Napier Street Aged Care
