Supporting Strength and Resilience: Our Donation to The Next Step Spinal Recovery & Wellness Centre

At Wentworth Care, we believe that comfort, dignity, and recovery go hand in hand. That’s why when The Next Step Spinal Recovery & Wellness Centre reached out seeking support for their new wellness and recovery space, we didn’t hesitate to help. We were honoured to donate two recliners to support their mission of providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for people living with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions.

About The Next Step

Founded in 2012 by Rhiannon Tracey, The Next Step is more than just a recovery centre — it’s a symbol of hope and determination. After a life-changing accident left her with a spinal cord injury, Rhiannon refused to accept limitations. Instead, she channelled her strength into creating Australia’s first and only recovery facility founded and operated by a person living with a spinal cord injury.

Located in Epping, Victoria, The Next Step provides evidence-based recovery and wellness programs for people affected by spinal cord injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. The centre’s holistic approach combines physical therapy, mindset coaching, and emotional support, empowering individuals to regain independence and confidence.

Why We Were Inspired to Help

Rhiannon’s story is a true inspiration. Her resilience, positivity, and drive to help others turn adversity into opportunity embody the very essence of community and compassion. She has transformed her personal experience into a powerful platform that uplifts others — and that’s something we deeply admire.

Our donation of recliners will help The Next Step create a comfortable and restorative Recovery Zone — a dedicated space where clients can relax, recover, and recharge after therapy sessions. This space forms part of a broader vision to make health and wellness more accessible and inclusive for everyone, regardless of ability.
