Australian made aged care furniture
Furniture in residential aged care is clinical equipment as much as furniture. Seat height affects safe transfers, arm design affects falls risk, and surface specification affects infection control. The supplier you choose determines how well those decisions hold up over a decade of daily use.

Use these four criteria on any supplier you are considering, including this one.
1
Ask how the supplier arrives at seat height, arm height and seat depth, and what evidence sits behind those decisions. A dining chair that is 20 mm too low turns an independent sit-to-stand into a two-person assist. Arms need to be stable enough to take a resident's full body weight at the front edge, because that is where they will push from. For upholstery, ask which surfaces can be bleach cleaned and which cannot.
2
Australian manufacturing and imported ranges each have a place, and the difference matters most when you need something changed. Locally made items can be adjusted in seat height, arm profile, fabric and timber stain, and reordered to match in two years time. Imported ranges arrive as specified, which suits staff areas, cafes and retirement living but leaves little room to vary.
3
The difference between a supplier and a catalogue is what happens before and after the order. A supplier who will visit the site, measure the rooms, provide samples and a moodboard, and leave a chair on the floor for a fortnight is telling you how they expect the relationship to run. A trial is the most useful thing you can ask for.
4
Furniture in aged care is bought in stages, not in one go. Ask what the warranty covers and for how long, whether spare parts are held for discontinued lines, and whether the supplier keeps a record of what was supplied to your facility. Without that record, a re-order three years later is guesswork.
Wentworth Care supplies by area of the facility rather than by product catalogue, because that is how a refurbishment is actually scoped.

A specification is agreed before anything is made, and nothing is committed until staff and residents have used it.
Step one
We visit the facility, measure the spaces and, where beds are involved, run an onsite bed audit identifying the make and model of every bed on the floor. That record is what makes consistent re-ordering possible years later.
Step two
Digital moodboards, fabric samples and stain selection, so the specification is agreed before anything is made.
Step three
Furniture goes onto the floor for staff and residents to use. Nothing is committed until that has happened, because a fortnight surfaces what a specification sheet cannot.
Step four
Delivered and installed, including to remote communities. We hold the record of what was supplied to your facility for future re-orders and spare parts.
For projects still in the planning stage, we supply a DIY budget quote in Excel so the numbers can be worked through internally before a formal quote is requested.
Enquiries are answered by a person who knows the products. The team is small and experienced, and there is no call centre.

Wentworth Care delivers and installs Australia-wide, with dedicated pages for Melbourne, Sydney and six other capital cities. Recent deliveries also include Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley, the Tiwi Islands, Far North Queensland, Tasmania, Coober Pedy and Christmas Island. If your facility is remote, ask early, because it changes the lead time rather than the possibility.
Yes. We deliver and install Australia-wide, including remote communities such as Fitzroy Crossing, the Tiwi Islands, Far North Queensland, Tasmania and Christmas Island. Remote delivery affects the lead time rather than whether we can supply, so tell us the location when you first make contact.
Yes. We offer onsite trials so staff and residents can use the furniture in the real environment before anything is committed, and showroom visits are also available. A trial surfaces practical issues, such as height, weight and ease of cleaning, that a specification sheet will not.
Our chairs, lounge suites, mattresses and planter boxes are Australian-made. We also offer imported ranges, mainly dining furniture for staff areas, cafes and retirement living. Australian-made items can be customised in seat height, arm profile, fabric and stain, and matched again on a later re-order.
Warranty terms vary by product. We confirm the warranty for every item in your specification before you request a quote. We also keep a record of what was supplied to your facility, which makes later repairs and re-orders straightforward.
Yes. We provide digital moodboards, fabric samples and stain selection. Fabrics come from Materialised, Instyle, Warwick and Wortley, and are antimicrobial, antibacterial and bleach cleanable, so a colour choice does not compromise infection control.
Yes. Delivery and installation are part of the service, not a separate arrangement you need to organise. We also run onsite bed audits to record the make and model of every bed in the facility, which keeps future re-orders and spare parts consistent.
Tell us which areas of the facility you are working on and we will come back with a specification, fabric samples and a moodboard. Trials and onsite visits can be arranged at the same time.
